Our Story

Pet Lizard People was created by animal lovers who were frustrated with the low-quality, inconsistent pet care information found online.

Welcome! My name is Jason and this is my daughter Zoe.

I’ve always loved animals. As a young boy, I volunteered at my local zoo and dreamed of having a pet skunk. Zoe loves animals just as much as I do, and all this began when she fell in love with a leopard gecko.

But I was new to reptile care, so I decided to dive deep so I could coach my daughter. That’s when I realized how much bad information is on the web.

I’m not a vet but I have years of organizing teams of experts and experience reviewing evidence-based research to inform good decisions. I’ve been told that I can get to the heart of complex ideas and present them in accessible ways.

Our content cites the sources of our conclusions and relies on trained professionals.

I wanted to put together the resource that I wanted when we adopted Pumpkin, one that would let us provide her with the best care. I hope to succeed in this mission because, just like you, we are Pet Lizard People, too.
